Deep Talk Podcast

Ongoing video podcast production for a Hong Kong news and culture page

Interlude HK is a Hong Kong media page covering news and culture, with over 30,000 followers across platforms. When they launched a long-form video podcast series, they needed a production partner who could handle the full technical pipeline while the team focused on content. I came on as a creative collaborator, sharing the vision for what the show could become.

Process and Strategy

The challenge with a podcast of this format is consistency across a high volume of deliverables. Each episode required a full-length edit, three social media highlight reels, captions, an animated intro, music selection, and final export and upload. The discipline was in maintaining production quality across every output, every time.

Creative Solution

I built and maintained the full production workflow across episodes: editing hour-long recordings, cutting reels that could hold attention in a short-form feed, and designing an animated intro that carried through as a brand signature. As the workload scaled, I began delegating the more mechanical tasks to focus my attention on the creative decisions that shaped how the show felt.

Results

The show has grown steadily. Highlight reels from the podcast regularly reach over 2,000 likes on Instagram, on a page with more than 30,000 followers. The collaboration is ongoing, and my role continues to evolve toward creative direction as the show finds its audience.

I take on a small number of projects at a time. That's intentional. The work is better for it.
